Autumn Conference 2012 - Innovations in Forensic Science Nanotechnology
10 November 2012
Less is More: Innovations in Forensic Science Nanotechnology
University of Warwick, Conference Centre
The Conference
The word nanotechnology was popularised in the 1980s and it has always been taken to mean devices that are built on a molecular scale (i.e. a few nanometres wide and certainly smaller than a cell itself). Published innovations focussed on forensic applications are varied and have resulted in the design of specialist particles for the detection of drugs, explosives, DNA and fingerprints. The potential applications are endless and this event aims to increase awareness of this exciting and varied field.
The event is aiming to attract researchers, practitioners as well as those from industry and the Forensic Science Society is keen to promote this as a networking event for those keen to propagate new collaboration opportunities.
Location
The conference centre is based at the University of Warwick, which lies on the outskirts of Coventry. Conveniently situated at the very heart of england, it is easily accessible by road, rail and air.
